One of the great things about Gmail is that it is kept on the Google server. Therefore you can access it from any computer that is online. But if you aren't online, you can't search for old messages and if (I can't imagine how) Google were to somehow crash, your messages would crash with it... Solution: backup your Gmail messages to your computer by running this little program;
